This documentary film dabbles in both of my points of focus on this blog. Food and film.
Food is obviously a very important subject to me, I take a lot of time to think about my actions, especially as a consumer. Since the rise of industry and Fordism (assembly line technique, people as machines, focus on productivity and profitability instead of maintaining humanistic values), people have forgotten the link between how things are produced and the finished product, often referred to as consumer fetishism. We believe that the clothes, food and products in which we are surrounded by on a daily basis miraculously appear on the shelves, void of any problematic or unethical production.
