I've been awake for just over an hour now, and I have taken advantage of my access to water almost 10 times and I haven't even showered or eaten yet.
I found this documentary late last night while researching for a feature that I am writing this week and could not turn it off. It has made me seriously reevaluate the direction of my feature and my day to day activities.
Imagine if before I could do any of the things I listed above I needed to walk 500 m or more to a well, and then carry back buckets of water for washing up, drinking, eating, cleaning. Then imagine after I...

My best friend Anna was lucky enough to have been there and she cried. Imagine, what seems like a ridiculous sport involving plowing over bumps of snow at high speed and doing back flips all the while wearing skis causing this much excitement.
The Olympics do things to people.
It can be awfully moving to know that a large part of the nation you call home is thinking the same thing, hoping for the same outcome, and feeling a sense of connection to those...
